Lower Beverley Lake

Trailhead:

There is a public boat ramp available in Delta (same spot as the Route Head in the map).  To get there, simply take Lower Beverley Lake Park Road and look for the Boat Launch sign.  There is a paved ramp and dock with parking available.

Notes and Cautions:

Further information can be found at http://www.deltamill.org/paddling.html

Lower Beverley Lake, slightly larger than Upper Beverley Lake, has a maximum depth of 28.7 m (94 feet) and an average depth of 9.1 m (30 feet).  The lake presents good wildlife viewing opportunities, as well as fishing (dominant species are largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and northern pike).

The circumference of the lake (along main shorelines) is about 28 kilometers.  From Lower Beverley Lake one can choose to either paddle up towards Upper Beverly Lake, towards Lyndhurst (or Charleston Lake further down), or towards Morton (where the Rideau Canal lies nearby).
