Upper Beverley Lake

Trailhead:

There is a public boat launch available with lots of parking on UB5 road, just east of Delta Mill (also the east Portage Take Out symbol in the map).

Notes and Cautions:

Further information can be found at http://www.deltamill.org/paddling.html

Originally Upper Beverley Lake was just two small lakes, but merged into its present single lake status due to the dam in Delta.  In the past, this lake served as the mill pond for Old Stone Mill (or Delta Mill).  This shallow lake has a maximum depth of 7 meters (23 feet) and an average depth of 2.5 m (8 feet).  The warm water lake is home to many fish species, such as largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, and northern pike.

The paddling distance from Delta to the head of the lake (Plum Hollow Creek) is 6.5 km (4 miles).  The circumference of the lake (following main shorelines) is about 22 km (14 miles).  Some of the shoreline is high developed with cottages, but the majority of it is in its natural state.
