This paddle routes follows the shoreline of Upper Rideau Lake, roughly 26 km long (a full day trip).  Starting at Newboro Lock, you will travel about 0.8 km through a short length of canal (which was required during the construction of the Rideau Waterway).

This route brings you past the quaint town of Westport, which is nice stop over for provisions and exploration of the town itself.  Also nearby is Foley Mountain Conservation Area with a beautiful lookout point (spy rock lookout) of the surrounding area.
