CRCA Mushrooms 101 Presentation

October 21, 2018 - 1:00pm to 2:30pm

Local chef and forager Ruthie Cummings has become an expert on local mushrooms, including how to identify, prepare and eat them. The Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority is partnering with Cummings to present a special ‘Mushrooms 101’ event, which will take place on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018 at 1 p.m.

Book Launch

October 21, 2018 - 1:30pm to 4:00pm

Book Launch for “Days Gone By - Mallorytown and Front of Yonge” by David and Sandra Wells will be held on Sunday, October 21st from 1:30-4:00 pm at the Mallory Coach House, 1523 County Road 2, Mallorytown. Cost per book is $20.

Brockville & District Horticultural Society Speaker Event

October 22, 2018 - 7:00pm

The Brockville & District Horticultural Society’s monthly speaker event takes place at the Wesleyan Church, 33 Central Ave. W., Brockville from 7 to 9 p.m. on October 22.
Peter Fuller of Fuller Native and Rare Plants will speak about choosing and propagating native plants for the garden. All welcome. $2 guest fee.

CRCA Forest Therapy Walk Public Session

October 25, 2018 - 12:30pm to 3:00pm

The Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority (CRCA) is continuing its innovative and immersive Forest Therapy Walks program, as a way of encouraging area residents to reconnect with nature in a deeper, more meaningful way.
