Frontenac Womens Chorus

January 9, 2017 - 7:00pm to May 27, 2017 - 9:00pm

Are you a woman who loves to sing and is curious about joining a choir? The Frontenac Women's Chorus is welcoming new members for January. No audition is necessary and an ability to read music, while desirable, is not required if you can learn by ear and sing in tune with our enthusiastic and friendly group. Join us to sing an exciting variety of music on Monday nights - we have a spot for you!

Art Threads – Tett Centre Community Gallery

The Kingston Fibre Artists’ annual show and sale, Art Threads, showcases new work by the Kingston Fibre Artists, including fibre art created primarily with paper. You are warmly invited to meet the artists at the Opening Reception at the Tett’s Community Gallery on Saturday, March 18 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. KFA members have been creating contemporary textile art and exhibiting together for the past 20 years. Art Threads is made possible by the generous support of the Ballytobin Foundation.

CRCA Maple Madness - Tree Tapping Demonstration

One of the things that keeps people coming back to our sugar bush each year is a chance to see how maple syrup is made, both today and in days gone by. As part of the CRCA’s annual Maple Madness celebration, tree tapping demonstrations will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day during March Break (Monday, March 13 to Friday, March 17) as well Sundays, March 12 and 19, 26 and April 2, also from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Mallorytown Talks-Victory at Vimy

Ted Barris-CBC broadcaster, historian, author and journalism professor will discuss his new book, Victory at Vimy. As Canadian and French officials prepare for 100th anniversary observances at the Vimy Memorial, on April 9, 2017, Ted Barris will illustrate how Canada’s victory at Vimy was truly born in the heads and hearts of the Canadian communities whose sons fought there.
