Frontenac Womens Chorus

Are you a woman who loves to sing and is curious about joining a choir? The Frontenac Women's Chorus is welcoming new members for January. No audition is necessary and an ability to read music, while desirable, is not required if you can learn by ear and sing in tune with our enthusiastic and friendly group. Join us to sing an exciting variety of music on Monday nights - we have a spot for you!

Art Threads – Tett Centre Community Gallery

The Kingston Fibre Artists’ annual show and sale, Art Threads, showcases new work by the Kingston Fibre Artists, including fibre art created primarily with paper. You are warmly invited to meet the artists at the Opening Reception at the Tett’s Community Gallery on Saturday, March 18 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. KFA members have been creating contemporary textile art and exhibiting together for the past 20 years. Art Threads is made possible by the generous support of the Ballytobin Foundation.

Maple Weekend

The Ontario Maple Syrup Producers Association will be hosting the third Annual Maple Weekend on April 1 – 2, 2017 from 10 AM to 4 PM. Participants in Maple Weekend can be found across the province in a number of maple syrup producing areas.

Maple weekend gives you a first-hand opportunity to see how maple products are produced, from tree to table, along with the chance to taste and purchase quality maple products.

CRCA Maple Madness - Tree Tapping Demonstration

One of the things that keeps people coming back to our sugar bush each year is a chance to see how maple syrup is made, both today and in days gone by. As part of the CRCA’s annual Maple Madness celebration, tree tapping demonstrations will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day during March Break (Monday, March 13 to Friday, March 17) as well Sundays, March 12 and 19, 26 and April 2, also from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Nature: Explore IT! Part 4 - Citizen Science

"Nature: Explore IT!" is a series of smartphone and tablet tutorials for those who find themselves struggling to keep up with rapidly-evolving technology. Familiarize yourself with the capabilities and constraints of your mobile device using practical examples drawn from the natural environment of the Elbow Lake nature reserve. Cost is $15 per person per session. Each workshop is designed to stand alone. Takes place at the Elbow Lake Environmental Education Centre near Perth Road Village.
