Stewards of the St. Lawrence 2017 Exhibit

 Through partnerships with local conservation agencies and consultations with the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabe representatives, the ACHM is pleased to present the Stewards of the St. Lawrence 2017 Exhibit in the main hall. This family focused exhibit will highlight the importance of the river to the local and visiting communities and showcase it is a cultural, recreational and economic lifeline. Through this interactive exhibit the ACHM can share information regarding conservation and stewardship and help to leave a legacy for future generations.

The Thousand Islands Playhouse Presents: BOOM

Art Show at Doner Studio

Enjoy the work of Randal and Darlene Doner and 35 guest artists at the fourth Annual Art Show at the historic Grist Mill property (Doner Studio at the Mill) just northeast of Kingston.

The show is set among the gardens and along the shoreline of the Rideau Canal at Lower Brewers Lock.

You are invited to come and enjoy the art show, two studios, the gardens, the museum, the Lock and the Rideau Canal, live music by Eric Uren, and food by Two Nuts in a Food Truck!

Red Canoefest

1000 Islands Parkway Challenge

Walk, run, cycle the 1000 Islands Parkway bike path beginning at either Brown's Bay or Gananoque with the destination being Rockport. Registration is at 8:30 am and the event ends about 11;30 am. The event is jointly sponsored by the Townships of Front of Yonge, Leeds and the 1000 Islands and the Town of Gananoque.

Big BOGOfree Bazaar

Summer Hours at the Museum of Health Care

The Museum of Health Care brings Canada's health care story to life, as it acquires, conserves, researches, displays, and interprets artefacts that help tell the story of health and health care in Canada.

The Museum of Health Care offers 12 onsite and offsite exhibits, 8 online exhibitions and 28 education programs to a diverse range of ages.

Family Nature Outing – Naturalist Hike at Baker Woods Preserve

Bring a picnic lunch and join us for a family nature hike at the Baker Woods Preserve.  Look for dragonflies and damselflies, identify butterflies, and learn about the trees and plants found along the trail. Local naturalists Stephen and Vici Diehl will lead this fun family outing!

This hike is suitable for families with children of all ages.  Baker Woods Preserve’s trails are easy walking, but not stroller friendly.  Closed-toe walking shoes and water are necessary and hats and insect repellent are recommended.

Plant Swap

Caintown sings Canada
