Stewards of the St. Lawrence 2017 Exhibit

April 29, 2017 to October 31, 2017

 Through partnerships with local conservation agencies and consultations with the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabe representatives, the ACHM is pleased to present the Stewards of the St. Lawrence 2017 Exhibit in the main hall. This family focused exhibit will highlight the importance of the river to the local and visiting communities and showcase it is a cultural, recreational and economic lifeline. Through this interactive exhibit the ACHM can share information regarding conservation and stewardship and help to leave a legacy for future generations.

Lansdowne Country Market features local fresh food and unique products. The Market is a great place to meet your neighbours, welcome visitors while buying food and products to start your weekend off right. New on-site entertainment, demonstrations, kids activities and nearby attractions such as antique and vintage stores, restaurants, heritage walking paths, Library and splash pad create an experience for all ages and interests.

Summer Hours at the Museum of Health Care

The Museum of Health Care brings Canada's health care story to life, as it acquires, conserves, researches, displays, and interprets artefacts that help tell the story of health and health care in Canada.

The Museum of Health Care offers 12 onsite and offsite exhibits, 8 online exhibitions and 28 education programs to a diverse range of ages.

Music in the Park

Music in the Park is comprised of many different music series throughout downtown Kingston! We invite you to enjoy over 50 concerts with us this summer! The program runs from mid June through to September and features many different genres performed by Kingston’s very talented musicians.

Easy Paint Classes for Adults and Kids

Unleash your inner artist!

No experience needed and all supplies included for all of our Tuesday afternoon and evening classes. Small class sizes of 4 - 6 people ensure you receive individual attention to complete your artwork.

Adult Afternoon classes run from 1 - 5 pm

Adult Evening classes run from 6 - 9 pm

Children's Classes: 9 - 11 am Wednesdays during the summer.

Chef Cooking Demos at Kingston Public Market

June 24, 2017 to August 26, 2017

Starting Saturday June 24th and running every Saturday in July and August (except Canada Day) , there will be free chef cooking demos at the Kingston Public Market. The demos will happen in the courtyard of Springer Market Square from 11 am until noon. Please see below for a list of this year’s fantastic local chefs.

Come and join our Children's Program Coordinator and Instructor, Atallia Burke, at our downtown location this summer for some resourceful, exciting, amazing art camps!

Daily trips to Memorial Park Splash Pad and Park (weather dependent).

Eco Adventure Camp, Queen's University Biological Station

The Queen's University Biological Station (QUBS) is proud to be offering outreach programming for the Kingston and surrounding area community. Our camp is committed to providing growing kids with a unique opportunity to escape the city and explore the wonders of nature. Summer Concerts at Fulford Place

Movies in the Square 2017: Finding Dory

Movies in the Square 2017 takes place almost every Thursday night from June 22nd, 2017 until September 7th, 2017.

It takes place in Market Square at dusk with a big screen for the movie. That’s around 9pm in June/July and then 8:30 in August.

It’s free and you just have to bring your own chair.

Brockville Movies in the Park: Monster Trucks

August 3, 2017 - 6:00pm

“Movies in the Park” is a family-friendly outdoor event series taking place in Hardy Park every Thursday Night all summer long. Events will include live music, volleyball, fitness demonstrations, youth vendors, local artists and a Kid Zone, followed by a movie screening at dusk. The purpose of this event is to provide a free community get-together and a volunteer opportunity for youth in the Brockville area. With activities for the whole family, a huge blow-up screen and professional quality sound, Movies in the Park promises to be fun for people of all ages.


Predating the Prey: Bats and Moths

August 3, 2017 - 7:30pm

Liked the Batman movies? Well, join us for a real-life Batman movie! Through an evening hike, you will learn about common bats and moths, as well as predator-prey interactions (just like Batman catching his criminals)! 

Meet at 7:30 pm in the Pavilion for this free event, or book your family/group into a cabin (special rate $65/cabin) and stay overnight. Drop-ins are welcome, but overnight guests must book accommodation in advance.  This event will run rain or "shine".
