Stewards of the St. Lawrence 2017 Exhibit

April 29, 2017 to October 31, 2017

 Through partnerships with local conservation agencies and consultations with the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabe representatives, the ACHM is pleased to present the Stewards of the St. Lawrence 2017 Exhibit in the main hall. This family focused exhibit will highlight the importance of the river to the local and visiting communities and showcase it is a cultural, recreational and economic lifeline. Through this interactive exhibit the ACHM can share information regarding conservation and stewardship and help to leave a legacy for future generations.

St. Andrew's Beginning Recorder Class

September 5, 2017 - 10:00am to December 12, 2017 - 11:00am

St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church is offering adult group lessons in beginning recorder on Tuesday mornings at 10 am starting September 5, 2017. Contact the instructor, Dr. Lisa Szeker-Madden at 343-884-8436 Cost is $10 per student per lesson.

Sue Baker Trio

October 22, 2017 - 11:30am to 2:00pm

The trio will be performing Jazz, Blues and contemporary music. Tickets are $10.00 - available for pick up at Richard's Coffeehouse. Tickets can also be purchased over the phone using a credit card by calling 613-345-7771.

Richard's offers a full day breakfast, as well as a variety of soups, sandwiches, danishes, specialty coffees, teas and smoothies.

Bates Mural Unveiling and Presentation

CRCA Celebrates the Spiders of Ontario

October 22, 2017 - 2:00pm to 4:00pm

Join Tom Mason, the retired curator of Invertebrates from the Metro Toronto Zoo and learn about common spiders in Ontario.

This special talk starts at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 22 at the Outdoor Centre at Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area. Mason will explain about the important role of spiders in our complex ecosystem and why its crucial to continue to study and learn about tis under-studied group of creatures.

There is not cost for the event, however regular gate fees do apply.
