Stewards of the St. Lawrence 2017 Exhibit

April 29, 2017 to October 31, 2017

 Through partnerships with local conservation agencies and consultations with the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabe representatives, the ACHM is pleased to present the Stewards of the St. Lawrence 2017 Exhibit in the main hall. This family focused exhibit will highlight the importance of the river to the local and visiting communities and showcase it is a cultural, recreational and economic lifeline. Through this interactive exhibit the ACHM can share information regarding conservation and stewardship and help to leave a legacy for future generations.

St. Andrew's Beginning Recorder Class

September 5, 2017 - 10:00am to December 12, 2017 - 11:00am

St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church is offering adult group lessons in beginning recorder on Tuesday mornings at 10 am starting September 5, 2017. Contact the instructor, Dr. Lisa Szeker-Madden at 343-884-8436 Cost is $10 per student per lesson.

Knowledge Circles event: Who can speak for the land?

The new Knowledge Circles Project invites citizens in The Land Between region (from Georgian Bay to the Ottawa Valley) to share their observations/knowledge of the land and build community relationships. Project leaders are The Land Between organization with Curve Lake First Nation and Hastings Stewardship Council. For more info:

Knowledge Circle conferences are based on traditional Indigenous Talking Circles. These events are for landowners and resource-users (farmers, hunters, gardeners, hikers, etc). No political agendas permitted.

Cataraqui Conservation Foundation’s FOREVER GREEN GALA

It’s time for the Cataraqui Conservation Foundation’s annual fundraising gala diner – Forever Green. Enjoy music at the reception, bid on some great items at the silent and live auctions and sit down to a lovely meal all in support of conservation education.
