Interview at Alloy Foundry/Village Metalsmiths

On one of the many sunny afternoons this past week we set out from the FAB office for Merrickville, where we would take a tour of Canada`s oldest operational foundry. When we walked into the Village Metalsmiths shop an assortment of unique metal pieces met our gaze. One of the most prominent features in the shop is the number of distinctive cast aluminum signs.


Open House at Queen's University Biological Station

June 24, 2018 - 12:00pm to 3:00pm

Learn about the work being done at the station through interactive displays of research, outreach, local biodiversity, and conservation initiatives.  There will be tours of the facilities and local hikes as well as refreshments and snacks.

Strawberry Social

June 24, 2018 - 1:00pm to 4:00pm

Strawberry Social - Sunday, June 24th from 1:00-4:00 pm in the Tony Kall Park next to the Mallory Coach House, 1523 County Rd. 2 Mallorytown. Bring a chair and enjoy homemade shortcake topped with fresh strawberries, real whipped cream and a drink while listening to the 50’s-60’s music of the Silvertones. All for $5.00 per person. Everyone welcome! Rain or shine! Sponsored by the Mallory Coach House Committee and the 1000 Islands River Heritage Society.
