Join local forager and wild cuisine creator Barbara Roch as she presents her favourite wild plants and mushrooms, alongside recipes and novel ideas for ‘invasive’ plants. The Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority hosts Roch’s workshop on Sunday, Nov. 17, at 1 p.m., in the Outdoor Centre at the Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area. Pre-registration is required at www.crca.ca/online-services. The cost is $4 per person, which includes the gate fee. Participants will also take home a two-cup ‘wild’ tea bag, prepared as part of the presentation. The Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area is located on Division Street just two kilometres north of Highway 401. Entry fees are: $5 per person for adults and children over 12, and $3.50 per person for children 12 and under, to a maximum fee of $15 per car. Annual passes are available for $85 per year. We accept cash, tap-enabled debit cards and tap and chip credit cards at the gate and snack bar.
