Thousand Islands Quilters’ Guild

On May 23th the guest speaker at the Thousand Islands Quilters’ Guild (TIQG) will be the acclaimed quilt designer, Paul Leger. Join us to hear all about Paul’s unique “Journey in Quilting” and see his amazing quilts. All members and guests are welcome to attend at 6:30pm at the Brockville Legion—upstairs hall. Please bring non-perishable items for our semi-annual Brockville and Area Food Bank food drive. Show & Tell will highlight members' beautiful creations and the Library will loan boos & magazines to members.

Leeds County Heritage Network

LCHN announces their first Leeds Heritage Day event as about a dozen sites will be open without charge. The public is invited to explore, interact, and experience the very interesting and unique history of each area. Sites will offer refreshments, a chance to research, and also contribute to existing archival information. The event is part of a celebration of their newly updated website and brochure.

Transition Brockville Green Drinks at King's Lock Craft Distillery

Transition Brockville presents its second Green Drinks event, Sunday, May 26, 1:30 p.m., at the organic King's Lock Craft Distillery, 5 Newport Drive, Johnstown – just east of Prescott on County Road 2. Sample distillery spirits; socialize over $5 cocktails/spirits and cheese samples; learn about the cooperation between the distillery and organic partner Upper Canada Creamery: and tour the distillery.
