Kingston: Lemoine Point Loop (8km)

Trail Information

Click Map PDF at the bottom of the page for a printable trail description

A fairly short loop, a ride starting and ending at the Lemoine Point Conservation Area at the west edge of Kingston is a pleasant chance to breathe in the fresh air off Lake Ontario.

Start at the Lemoine Point Conservation Area north parking area. Drive into this west off Bayridge Drive to Coverdale drive, past rows of sailboats at Collins Bay marina and at the end of Coverdale Dr., left onto the service road into the conservation area.

On this ride, reverse your drive into the conservation area, back out to Bay Ridge Dr., and turn south. Marked bike lanes separate you from traffic. Bay Ridge ends at Front Road. Turn right and follow this road, which is part of the Waterfront Trail, back to Lemoine Point.

At the north side of the parking lot is a gateway onto the walking and cycling path. You can go straight ahead for the shortest way through the wooded path back to the north parking area – or turn left for a little longer loop through the scenic conservation area. There are washrooms at the north and south parking areas.

Start Location

Start from the north parking area at Lemoine Point Conservation Area, near Collins Bay.

Nearly level, on a smooth fine gravel path and paved roads.

Bike Suitability

This is a route for road, hybrid or touring bikes

Notes and Cautions

Bayridge Drive has marked bike lanes, but while Front Road does not, traffic is generally light, especially past the airport.
