Iroquois (HMS Anson)

Trail Information

The French built the Iroquois in 1759.  The British captured the ship in and renamed her the HMS Anson.  In 1763 the Anson struck a shoal off Susan Island  and sank.




he Iroquois (HMS Anson) lies on a shelf in approximately 75 feet of water behind the head of the Niagara Shoal.
