Salmon River to Bull Lake

Trail information:

Click Download Map for a printable trail description

This is a nice half day paddle route, beginning at the Salmon River (launch at the public parking lot next to Hwy 7, near Arden) passing through Buck and Bull Lakes.  The water is mainly still water, with a slow current and good fishing opportunities.

There is one short portage (about 200 m) to be aware of, over the top of a old railway bridge (now Trans Canada Trail), to avoid small rapids.  If you are able to, you can leave a second vehicle at the public boat launch site at 1200 Bull Lake Road, as you make your way towards it at the end of Bull lake.
