Interview at Alloy Foundry/Village Metalsmiths

On one of the many sunny afternoons this past week we set out from the FAB office for Merrickville, where we would take a tour of Canada`s oldest operational foundry. When we walked into the Village Metalsmiths shop an assortment of unique metal pieces met our gaze. One of the most prominent features in the shop is the number of distinctive cast aluminum signs.

Designing a planter that looks gorgeous and stays healthy requires a bit of planning. Donna White of Green Things Garden, Gift & Maintenance Services will share tips for creating planters with pizazz at the Brockville & District Horticultural Society Speaker Event. All welcome. $2 guest fee.

Mallorytown Talks - Cryptology and Espionage in WWII and the Cold War

Richard Brisson will talk about this intriguing subject. You will see various items/artifacts which relate to cryptology (in particular an actual German Enigma cipher machine), vintage clandestine or espionage tradecraft, and communications technology, particularly equipment used by the major powers during WW-II and the Cold War.

Admission: $5 a person at the door

Before the Summer, A Fine Art Show

May 3, 2019 - 6:00pm to May 5, 2019 - 4:00pm

Join 18 artists for an interesting and varied fine art show and sale. On opening night, Friday, 3 May from 6-9pm, there will be lively music and food. Beer and wine will be available.
