Date:
March 7, 2019

On March 7, Richard Aaron - nature educator and avid mushroom enthusiast - is coming to Ivanhoe to shine a light on the fascinating world of fungi as part of the Hastings Stewardship Council, Winter Speaker Series.

In his illustrated talk, “From Earthstars to Destroying Angels: An introduction to mushrooms & other fungi,” Richard will share stories about a host of intriguing species found in Southern Ontario, from mushrooms that glow in the dark to a puffball that can produce over seven trillion spores. He will also discuss the vital roles that fungi play in the environment.
