Monday, February 18, 2019 - 9:00am to 4:00pm

Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area
1641 Perth Road, Glenburnie, ON
K0H 1S0

Looking for something to do with your kids for the Family Day holiday? The Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority will be offering an opportunity for some outdoor fun on Monday, Feb. 18, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area.

The CRCA will have staff on hand to help suggest great hiking routes, where to feed the chickadees and other ways to enjoy nature with family and friends of all ages.

Weather and trail conditions permitting, you can also head out on a snowshoe trek, cross-country ski on our groomed trails (rentals are available at the Outdoor Centre) or take part in our ‘eyes-only’ scavenger hunt. At 2 p.m., come gather around the fire pit to roast marshmallows and make S’mores.

Cross-country skis and snowshoes are available for rent at the Outdoor Centre, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All rentals must be returned by 3:30 p.m. For a set of skis, boots and poles, the rental fee is $17 per person. For snowshoes it is $12. Our rental office accepts cash, Visa, Mastercard and tap-enabled debit cards.

The Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area is located on Division Street just two kilometres north of Highway 401. Entry fees are: $5 per person for adults and children over 12, and $3.50 per person for children 12 and under, to a maximum fee of $15 per vehicle. Annual passes are available for $85 per year and provide unlimited access to both Little Cataraqui Creek C.A. and the Gould Lake Conservation Area.
