Mallorytown Talks-The Railways of Leeds County

Doug Smith has written twelve books and several hundred articles on railway history and has served on the board of Canada’s largest railway museum outside of Montreal. He moved to Brockville eleven years ago where he volunteers with the Railway Tunnel.

Learn about the development of railways west of Brockville and the impact they had on the lives of those living in Mallorytown and other communities. This heavily illustrated talk traces the changing role of the railways from the golden age of steam through to the present day.
