What's Up, Cupcake?

Thursday, March 1, 2018 - 1:00am to Saturday, March 31, 2018 - 12:00pm

85 Hwy 32
Gananoque, ON
Gananoque and Township Leeds & the 1000 Islands

What's Up, Cupcake? March is cupcake month at the Gananoque & District Humane Society and we're asking for community-wide help by baking and sharing cupcakes to raise funds through donations for delicious cupcakes. It's fun, easy, and no registration required.
Just bake up your fave recipe and find people eager to eat them! They're everywhere - at your work, classes, clubs, meetings, dinner parties, school, after your exercise class! Local businesses and restaurants are joining in, too.
Please drop off your collected donations at our shelter, 85 Hwy 32 just north of the 401. Our goal is $5000, and we know we'll make it one cupcake at a time. If cupcakes aren't your thing, some people knit small pet-friendly items like catnip toys or make dog bikkies instead. It's entirely up to you!
One person's cupcake effort may seem small, but community-wide the total results are usually wonderful, so please consider giving it a go. It's a friendly, simple way to raise funds for the GDHS, and every penny donated stays right with the dogs and cats we rescue, shelter, and re-home.
We rely on you to keep our doors open as we receive no guaranteed funding, and our shelter is pretty special because it's a no-kill, volunteer-run charity.
For info or help please contact, 613-923-1953, and send your cupcake stories and pics to our FB page & follow the adventure. You can also follow us on Twitter, Instagram, and at our website
